Is the cpx 165 the same as the hcx 165?
cant get the hcx in Canada. They were 149. In the us but are now 179.
the cpx are available here for 250. Can.
Just wondering if they are the same animal? The hcx seem well received by forum members.
I know appearance wise they are different. But thanks for the pics. Wondering if the cpx are the replacements for the hcx which are no longer available. And are they similar in sq and performance.
Visions has a fairly good sale on Hertz speakers right now. I purchased a set of the Mille pros last week
I seen that sale at Visions as well.
Which begs the same question? Has anybody had any experience with the Hertz Mille Pro 6.5" 200 Watts Coaxial Speakers (MPX1653) as compared to the HCX 165. I stopped by today looking for some HCX 165s and they are no longer available. So that leaves the MPX 1653 or the CPX 165 as a an option from Hertz, unless a guy goes to separates.
I just finished installing the CPX in my 19 SGS about an hour ago, still tuning the amp and haven’t put any ride time on them yet so can’t really say much about them other than they sound good in the garage with what little bit of tuning the amp I’ve done/know how to do.
The HCX is the high energy series. They can handle more power. Like 10 watts rms. I have a set of the component version and they sound incredible powered with an Alpine PDX-F6. 150rms x 4
I’ve never heard the mpx in person, but I did hear 4 cpx’s over the weekend and those things play pretty damn loud and clear. I wouldn’t hesitate to run them if you’re just wanting 4 speakers and an amp. Mikes stuff sounded great.
All good feedback, thank you
both the cpx and mpx I can get here and they are the same price on sale $248. Can.
was set on the hcx because of opinions here but harder to get and their price has gone up since January from 149. US to 179.
thanks again for response .
