Question Boom AMP with aftermarket Speakers?

My 17 Ultra has the Stage 1 Boom kit on it. I am happy with volume but not happy with the sound, the system is lacking in the bass department.....
I see that the boom stuff is 2ohm but that most aftermarket speakers are 4ohm.
Can I run the 4ohm speakers on a boom amp?
Will it damage the amp?
In time I'll probably replace the boom amp with something better but for now I am just thinking speakers.

Short answer, yes you can run 4 ohm speakers. BUT you're not going to have enough power from 2 ohm Boom to really do justice.

Save up and buy an amp and speakers and get rid of all the Boom.

When you go from 2 ohm to 4 ohm, you are basically cutting the output of the speaker in half, thus 1/2 the volume.
That wouldn’t benefit you at all to put aftermarket speakers on the boom system.

Like was said above, keep it as is, or ditch the BOOM and put good Chit in.

Ok, so when I replace the boom amp do I need to get the bikes radio reflashed back to stock because I removed the boom AMP?
Its an Ultra so it already had 4 speakers and front/rear fade prior to the flash after the boom amp install.
Did the flash the dealer did when I installed the boom amp turn the radios outputs to low voltage versus being high voltage before the boom amp reflash?

Sorry, others can answer that one. I’m an ol’ School dude. The only flash I’m familiar with is the one I got arrested for on a dare in college.

Although I have never tried it but my thought are you can run infinity kappas with the boom amp and not loose volume as they are 2 ohm.

I'm running 4 ohm dd audio speakers off my boom amps and haven't lost any volume. seeing as how it was mostly distortion at the upper end anyway. plus they're like pa speakers which makes them fairly efficient so you get plenty of sound IMO, BUT you still have the SH!TTY boom eq curve to deal with. but it's gotten me by until i decide how to finish the system off

If you made sure to pull out all the stuff needed to install it you could probably sell off the boom stuff to someone and buy a decent amp, speakers and BT355 with what you made.
