Default Hertz 6.5 model comparison

Question for those who have hertz. Are the mpx 6.5 coaxs really that much better than the hcx to warrant the price difference? Seeing as the mpx are double the price of the hcx.

Also, where/who is everyone getting their hertz stuff from.

One of my go to speaker is the hcx 165. The mpx is louder but the center point tweeter can be harsh at higher volume. The hcx is tamer and have a warmer sound. The cpx is a cross between the hcx and mpx. They are louder than the hcx but with soft dome tweeter, it isn't as harsh as the mpx. It all depends on you listening taste and preference.

For my ears u seem to get what u pay with Hertz full range speaker setups. The HCX are a great damn budget tier option but the Milliie 6.5 coax are better performers with better SQ.

2 cents.

+1 to that. I have different hertz models in different vehicles. Fully agree with above.

Just curious did you have the mpx and the Sony onboard at the same time? I wonder how bad they would be if you could dial back the upper freqs some?

No I had the boom with the focal sport inline at the time. They may sound better if you can dial back the tweeters. I just personally like the hcx overall better.
