Default Song list volume constant

Al couple of years ago, someone mentioned some software or ??? that I could use to make my songs on my USB stick constant. Right now, some are real low, and then Waylan comes in real high. It would be nice to have them all play at the same or nearly the same volume so I don't have to keep adjusting the volume.

Thanks

i dont recall the name but ive used it before. I loaded alot of songs at once and set them all to the same number and 2 bands in particular came out wayyyy louder than the rest. Any slayer song was still lower than the rest. Basically it didnt work for me lol

MP3gain is the site you're looking for. Set all songs at 93db.

MP3 gain is great for setting track or album gain, but you do still get some variation in amplification depending on the original source material. Another app you can use is Audacity. But that is a track by track endeavor. However, it does work great if you know the specific song that you are trying to amplify or tone down. If you need any helpful tips using it let me know.
