One of the most frustrating things for me (as it applies to my library of music) is when I want to listen to some of my older stuff and can't get enough volume out of the head unit to hear it even at maximum volume. I've used MP3 Gain and Audacity to increase the amplification gain on my old stuff, but both of those methods introduce more than their fair share of noise in the process. Going from 85dB to 95dB just doesn't sound great when I compare it to the master file. We will see how it all works out. This was mainly just a chat session and I may end up tearing something up or being completely unhappy once I get the bike on the interstate slab. It will get a good workout when we head up to Topeka for the NHRA drag races the first week of June.

I've always just done installs the "same old way". This is #8 in my ledger so I figured I'd try something new after talking to Russ. He has to deal with real paying customers and equipment warranty if stuff breaks, if I break something it's just money coming out of my pocket

We all have blown stuff before at least the guys who install for themselves and their friends have. Just how do you think they know that the magic blue smoke will appear? It's all part of learning.
