Labor should be half that number. 14hrs is a rip-off.

I think it would take me the better part of 12 hours to put that in and tune it. I'm no pro but 6 speakers an amp and a DSP?

So I don’t plan to get the bike wet per say, but don’t pass on riding if a passing storm might come through while I’m at work. The installer is an acquaintance of mine and is known to do some great work. He is high on Alpine type R speakers but was looking at Rockford for water resistance. Apparently he just found out the new Alpine typeR speakers just released and are now water protected from the front. His quote was $3000 all in with labor for this package. Soundz quoted me $2850 for a similar setup with their Iron 65’s speakers in the fairing and lowers, Iron 57’s in the bag lids, their biggest amp and DSP including labor. Sinister sound was under $1500 for 4 speakers their speakers and porting in the front Arc Moto amp and Polk MM 5x7 rears and I would have to pay labor for install. Biketronics was at almost $3000 plus install.

Yeah but if you're a shop that does installs on a regular basis, 8hrs should be more than enough for a fairly basic install such as this.

Wow..Brotha..iam south of you in Cincy..thats a alot of coin to drop for 14 hrs of labor for fosgate and kicker...Heck i would go with Alpine before I went with them...i took a chance on alpine last minute because i blew some speakers...and turned out to be a great choice... But I can guarantee you 150%..you can drive to cincy in 3 hrs...my guy would install that in 8hrs and you and I would drink beers the next 3 hours..🤣🤣🤣..thats 14 hrs well spent !!!

I would definitely ask the guy to hear a bike with the type of system you are considering, and see (hear) if you like it $3000 is a lot of coin! If your handy you could put together a great system using this forum for info and install help for around $2000! Good luck!

I've had a 2500 sq ft home wired for that! There's nothing else you'd get more use out of $3000? lol

It sounds like a lot of money, but everyone is in that same ball park price wise for a 6 speaker upgrade installed with quality components. There is a lot involved adding lowers and 6x9 lid speakers I guess. It is a lot of money but the bike is a keeper with a lot of motor work and extras so tome it’s worth it. I priced out hertz speakers and just the speakers, adapters, DPS and other parts required where $2800 with out labor. I’m open to all options if somebody has a solid set up that keeps me in this price range.
