Default Fairing dimensions?

Can anyone tell me roughly what the depth of a speaker you can put in a 14 street glide fairing is? I have the BT brackets. My fairing is getting painted so I csnt actually get a measurement.

What speaker u looking at? It's not always just a simple depth measurement as the diameter of the magnet will have a big impact.

T,

Thanks for the quick reply sorry not so much on my end. I was looking possibly at something like the Skar PAX65 for the fairing. With a set of B3s or ALT08s. And maybe something like the American bass neo 6.5s in the lowers. Rear end has VO69s FDP for the fairing and lowers. GZ micro or the new VADM for the 69s and 250.2 for the horns.. all under the hood mama bear likes my bag space

I'm not opposed to what everyone else is using (hertz, prvs, mmatts, beymas) just looking at maybe trying something a little different. But who knows maybe in the end I'll change to them anyways. Haha. Thanks for the advice BTW

I should also add. I was going to go with beymas 6qs in the fairing with a set ast50s. Svs in the lowers. And the vos. BUT I came home from vegas last week and my basement was full of water.. so I'm trimming so costs here and hopefully doing a little experimenting at the same time.. oh and my beymas just never showed up.

Brother, u just never know what those Skar will sound like but the specs look like they would fit perfect in my wheel house for a midbass fairing speaker.
I would also damn near guarantee that they will fit the SG fairing w the BT Brackets. The magnets are a very favorable diameter.

Let us know how they sound please!!!

I've run their TX65(coaxials) in the fairing pods off a bridged DD Audio D4 amp and they sound damn good for fifty dollar per pair speakers!

Generally speaking 2.5" depth is your max. That can vary with the shape of your magnet and it can also vary on how much modification you're willing to do to the magnet itself. I know a couple dudes here that will just shave down a magnet just to squeeze a speaker in the fairing.

Edit: 3" depth...not 2.5" max depth
