I haven't run the 6.5's yet but will tell you the pa 6x9's are loud as hell and good SQ. Im just waiting to hear feedback from the 6.5's. If they are anything like the 6x9's they are a good contender.

i'vr got a set in my tp pods, they have filters on the side of the frame, so a spacer might be required. i have 1/2 inch spacers on mine because my bike is older and needs them for the motor structure. These things rock!! i dont have a lot of time on them, but i did do a side by side, tuned and untuned test against the older pa601.4 and right from the jump i liked the cx better. i have no issue against recommending these speakers. i can't wait to get some in a fairing and seee how well they work there too!
just my 2 bits.

If you have heard the PA601's, they are like them adding the higher freqs. I like them and they are a good price point. I have put 3 sets in so far and 1 set of the 6x9's (Gypse is correct there, the 690 is an awesome speaker) and everyone that has them, loves them.

Marco, they are awesome in the fairing. The last set I put in has the PA601's in the lowers and the 601cx in the fairing. That front stage rocks and then he has PRV forte's in his bags. It's a nice, loud, and clean sounding setup for not a ton of money.

Will they work in a lower? I'm am leaning towards replacing my PRV6MR500's with some version of a PA coax to get some highs up front on my Road King. Any thoughts/comparisons to the 6MR500's? I r es ally like the PRV's but currently the only highs I have are the coax 6x9's in my bag lids and dont really get much of them once you're moving.

Really like what I’m hearing about these cx’s, unfortunately difficult to get them to Canada. Doable but difficult.
i can get the hertz mpx165.3 for about $240 Canadian/ 175.US .Wondering how the cx’s compare.
