Installed sony mex-gs620bt with scosche hdswc1. I did not cut any loops. Just plugged in the 3.5mm plug.
I cannot get it to program the controls. I go to the register menu and I can get one side of the thumb button to save but not the other.

Example, it will register volume up fine but then when I try to do volume down it says error.

Anyone worked with this before that can help out?

 

I would suggest calling their Tech Support Line.

 

Is the remote wire plugged from the scosche interface plugged into the back of the HU?

 

Ah ok, I guess I was just overthinking it.

The HU has a menu option for steering controls that contains 2 choices. preset, and custom. The first time I looked at the instructions I thought preset was for no controls and custom meant you had steering controls and had to program them. Before I called support today I went out and reset the HU, then chose preset. and it all just works. Well except for the button that the Scosche says is the source button cause on this HU it just turns it off, so far. Havent really played with it all that much

The Sony MEX-GS620BT with the Scosche HDswc1 works right out of the box with no custom setup other than choosing Preset, in the Steering controls menu option on the HU.
