New setup gain voltage help?
Just switched out my HU and front speakers also added front speakers. So I now have lowers and faring speakers on the front channel of the amp. It was set for Kappa's 62.11. Not sure how to calculate for two sets off same channel. AMP is MA4-3000D. Faring speakers are Hertz HCX 165's. Lowers/mids Fosgate PPS4-6 Punch pro's. The specs for power are almost Idenical. 100 RMS... peak 200 watts. Decabils 93. Both are 4 ohms. So the setting should be pretty easy but I am having trouble wrapping my head around the ohms? Away if somebody has a voltage number to start at that would be awesome. HU is now MEX-M100BT. Also the bluetooth sound is really low in volume and quality. Radio and CD are awesome and really really loud. Am I missing a setting somewhere. Cranked it up in the garage last night. And the there was an ice/rain storm. Neighbor across the street was in his garage both his and my door were closed. He said he enjoyed the tunes. lol

go into your volume offset settings in the HU and make sure that the blutooth audio offset is set up to be the same as cd. if your amp is 2 ohm stable you are good and don't need to think about it anymore. do as Bates said and don't worry about the meter so much. head unit at 75% and start to work the gains up unitl you get distortion and back down till clean, rinse repeat. make sure your bluetooth volume issue is resolved before you get too deep into it. you'll need to find the happy space setting of the output of your phone/soource, the volume offset and the then the amp gains.

Yup about the Bluetooth....when you hook to a new device, your phones volume will always be really low. Check the volume on your phone and make sure it's turned up. Also like Marco said, there's a setting in the HU to turn up the Bluetooth. It needs to be set at 0 to match any other source that your HU will play from.
