not sure if this is the right spot but A buddy has a 2011 tri glide he wants to remove the security system and add after market stereo stuff anyone ever do this? He just wants to get rid of the security system,
He will need to replace signal light box. Alarm of course needs to be off. Even then, not sure if it is plug and play since it is mated to speedometer and ECM/ECU and on a 2011, probably the other remote box CANBUS.
Not going to be cheap. It actually sould be in possible with out a dealer doing it on a factory system.

He just feels like it could leave them stranded, plus wants to do full out stereo in as well and want to do aftermarket deck. Plus this is his wife’s bike and just wants less problems. It’s all Greek to me lmao.

sounds like he just needs to read the owners manual, you can manually bypass the fob, he’ll Ive in the past pulled the battery out of mine for my buddy and put it back, he’s not gonna be stranded, just need to be smarter than the fob lol
Absolutely no need to pull the security system to do all of that. All he needs to do is familiarize himself with entering the pin to over ride the system should his fob battery die.
