Default H-D SiriusXM kit

I want to get the XM module for my 19 SGS And wondering if it’s worth getting and and does this module and reception work good.

I’m pretty sure someone must have HD XM module and would like some feed back.

thanks

Hi Mac......I have the XM module in my '13 HD Tri-Glide (had it in my '09 TG and transferred to the '13). The antenna is in the front fairing. Only time I have "no signal" is going thru mountains or wooded forests! I love it and worth every penny...to me!!!

You may have already considered this but you can download the Sirius XM app on your phone and then Bluetooth. It would save the money for the expensive HD part. This is the route I am considering.

The difference being at times I'm out of Internet range for the phone.

Have it on my ‘12 TriGlde & ‘17 UltraLmited...wouldn’t be without it.

Valid point. Will the antenna work in many places where you don’t have signal (mountains for example as suggested above)? Serious question...not being sarcastic.

The first year I had XM, the antenna was under the fairing. The second year, I mounted it near the slot. I thought the relocation provided a marginal improvement. If there was an area I couldn't get reception before, I still couldn't get reception with the relocation. Overall, I am thrilled with XM. We took a Mississippi river route that took us along Minnesota's bluffs. There was a long stretch (maybe 20 miles) where the bluffs blocked all XM and our music source became a flash drive. This year, I am going to renew my XM but am going to experiment with Pandora streaming from a Galaxy 8.

Check out iHeartRadio as well. I like it a lot better than Pandora. In most cases with XM I've noticed if my phone doesn't have a signal it doesn't either.
