Default Flash or not to flash JM Audio

So I got the JM XXRK-350SP2-14SG upgrade installed on my '18 Street Glide. While it is an improvement over stock, it is not great, yet. I have been told a flash AND retune will do the trick. It costs $175 in my neck of the woods to do this. Anyone out there have experience to tell me if it is worth it? I have heard all the good and bad about JM, just looking for the nitty gritty on your thoughts of a flash and retune. Thanks!

Where did you have it installed?

Is he not able to do the flash recommended by J&M? That should've been part of the install.

Took the easy way out and did the install not requiring the flash. Apparently there are two options for this. One with a green banded install wire harness and one without. The green can be done without the flash, the one without the green is for an install with the flash and retune

Pretty certain the flash you'll need won't be one you can get from Harley. I'd contact John and see what he says. I'm quite certain whatever he suggests won't be free.

I think to really get the sound your looking for won't require a flash, just a BT 355 line leveler a better amp and speakers (anything other than J&M)

Do some checking around at local indy shops that use the techno research software and they should be able to flash your HU for you.

If you were in the Chicago area I would tell you to swing by and I would flash the HU for you as i have the equipment to flash the HUs with the JM flash along with other aftermarket flashes (fosgate, soundz) also including all the harley flashes

I have the same ROKKER kit as you as waiting to be install on my 19 SGS and just check my harness and it does have a green band you mentioned, how did you find out if you needed a flash or not?
