Default Rockford T400x4 vs CV B54

Whats everyone’s thoughts on the rockford T400x4AD vs the CV B54 as far as sound quality and power out put in general thanks !

Depends on what speakers are in play.

What ya hookin up?

My bet is initially on the RF though.

Well i have harley stage 1 in the fairing which is 2 ohm and harley twin cooled in the lowers which is i think maybe 4” and they are 4 ohm but that stuff will prob be swapped out soon At least the two fairing speakers for sumthin diffrent i have a pbr 300x2 now an want to switch to a 4 channel cause theyre wired in parallel which i kno isnt right ! Its less than 2 ohm load

im thinkin in the future a better 2 ohm in the fairing an keep the boom 4 ohm in the lowers

The RF will be more versatile should u change up ur speaker plan, which brings up a good point - you really need do abandon all that oem crap or this amp stuff really will be a waste of cash & energy.

Keep an eye on the classifieds. Hell, even some very cheap Walmart speakers will get ur ship closer to shore than the oem speakers.

2 cents.

Ok thanks ! That answered my question thats exactley what im workin towards is changing it to better stuff an i kno that the PBR will not cut it with better speakers either thanks again

Tailwind knows what he's talking about. Listen closely. I did, and got rid of the Boom crap all together, and couldn't be happier. R-F "TM" series amps are more suited to our motorcycles. The "T" series isn't marine grade. I put a tm4oox4ad in my bike, over 2 years ago, and it's still going strong. Of course, I'm not doing competitions, like Tailwind.
