I have a 2017 Street glide special. I want to upgrade buy sound system I want to keep the boom audio head unit. I plan on adding an amp . The boom audio head unit is it a 2 ohm is there a way that I can use 4ohm speakers. ? I don't know very much about audio just learning as I go.

When you add an amp to your system, the ohm ratings of the amp supersede the head unit, so no worries about head unit

A 2 ohm stable amp will power 4 ohm speakers also, but a 4 ohm stable amp will not power a 2 ohm load.
Most amps we use here are 2 ohm stable, so that you can run 2-4ohm speakers in parallel (creating a 2 ohm load)
So give is more info on your speakers and amp that you are thinkin of using... potential future plans with your audio? we will help you in your options.

If ur rolling 4 speakers u will need a 4 channel amp and I would recommend targeting up to 150 watts per channel. The ARC 600.4 is great for 4 speakers but no more. The Stinger 700 is also solid. Just depends on u wallet brother. The Focal Sport is very damn nice w great power but not a budget amp.

What's u wallet thinking for this amp?

Shop that Stinger 700. I have seen them in the very low 200s.

All amps that are recommended here will run either 2 or 4ohm speakers. You'll find that most all amps are 2ohm stable meaning that you can use any speaker down to 2ohms.

Also, I'd change the Polk DB's to the Polk MM's. The DB's aren't all that.
