Default Bluetooth wireless to another non-HD rider

I hope someone can help me here.
Riding 2014 Ultra Limited, with SiriusXM module, Biketronics AMP and front speakers, JVC rear speakers.

I was interested in adding the bluetooth module to either be able to use wireless headsets &/or communicate with another motorcycle.

1. Do I have to use the HD bluetooth headset?
2. What brand of bluetooth aftermarket headset will it communicate with on another bike?

Scenario - my GF rides an Indian Scout and I'd like to be able to communicate with her while we're on the road. So I'd like to be able to use a bluetooth speaker/com system that will communicate with the factory head unit and with her - so I can use my radio/GPS/etc and talk to her - whether she's on her bike or as a passenger on mine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
