Just jacking w ya my brother. I never have luck searching HD stuff online. Their site just no worky w my devices.

This part will be $10 well spent. I just don't cut into wires upstream of the harnesses, especially when potential warranty stuff is involved.

So I can just plug that 12v adapter into the harness on the bike, cut one end off of the adapter, add a spade terminal to the adapter, put a spade terminal on the other end of the remote wire and plug it in? No need for a ground?

U need all three. Power, ground, and remote. The remote is akin to a light switch in a house. It either closes the loop to turn the light on or opens the loop or circuit to turn it off. The remote is tied to ur acc switch thus when the acc or ign is on the remote closes the amp power loop turning it on. Off opens the amp power loop.

Yeah I got that but I was referring to a ground on the 12v harness. The harness has 2 wires on it. Im assuming pos and neg. But do I just find the pos and run the remote wire to that and do nothing with the ground wire in the adapter?

Just the pos on that harness. When guys tap into the cig lighter for their remote power source they are only hooking up to the pos wire in that 2 wire bundle

Well I have all the wiring run and I got the line leveler today also. The line leveler has a place for 2 rca connections and 2 more plugs coming out of it. Do the plugs need to go anywhere or do I just need to run the stinger rcas from the amp to the line leveler? Not sure if there is a pos and neg on the rcas or if it matters which one goes where.

The plugs will hook up the the speaker connections that you unplug from the pods. That is where your input for the amp comes from. If you look on top of the yellow label on the Line Leveler you'll see a red dot and a white dot. Red is for left, white is for right. The stinger has a diamond around the part you hold with your finger. One is red the other is clear (white).
