Default Help..no power to amp

hey guys,

i have just installed a certain vega b52 amp (aquatic av head unit older style) in my 2001 Electra glide but the power light on amp isn't coming on. I ran a 8 gauge wire from positive to battery, another 8 gauge to ground stud behind battery. I I ran small blue power antena/remote wire from head unit to spot between positive and ground wires on amp. Flipped switch on amp from remote to dc to vox with no change. I'm a rookie and have no clue where to go from here. Thanks in advance

Do you have a in-line fuse on the battery to amp wire?

Default Also remote

My buddy has the Aquatic stereo. I helped him set it up. You have ti turn on the trigger in the stereo. It is in the menu. It's call the 12volt trigger. You can also activate the trigger from the remote. Hope that helps. Ride safe

Tried that out but I can’t find any setting like that. Did your buddy have the newer version of aquatic with the fancy screen? I don’t have that one

His is not the color display. Internally they are the same He got the less expensive one because it's cheaper and you can see it in the sun. Here is a clip from your HU manual. Good luck . Let me know if you find it?

I would try running the remote wire from the amp to the cig lighter or any other hot wire when ign/acc is on using a pig tail to wire it. Cant hurt to try.

There is also a wire that looks like an ethernet cable that plugs onto amp on the other side which also says remote and it plugs into a little dial that came with the amp. I have no idea what that is

I am not an engineer. But I do trouble shooting for my job. If you have a meter set it for 12 volts check for 12 volts at the amp. + and -.If there is 12 volts at the amp. That will tell you it has power but does not Switch on. The blue wires job is to turn it on and off. But power has to be there first to work. If you don't have power it's the power or ground issue or in-line fuse. Again good luck.
