Default Lets talk lower fairing "speaker pods"

I'm 99% decided on adding lower fairings with speakers on my 14 Street Glide. I've seen the actual pods that go into the glove box area & I've seen these pods/adapters that attach to the outside of the glove box. Any real feedback on these adapters?
Amazon Amazon

I do like the fact that they say the speaker is slightly angled towards the rider. They just look like they won't seal against the lowers very well. Otherwise, are there any angled 6.5in spacers that could be used with the true pod style? Am I overthinking having them angled towards me?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

From what I’ve seen, it looks like the speaker pods that come on the lowers are thicker on the bottom than the glove box and do tilt the speakers up some, similar to the adapter.

I had the adapters, used them to convert my gloveboxes to speaker pods. they worked just fine and were cheap. i changed the gloveboxes for true speaker boxes and did not notice any changes that would make me say one works better than another, however the fit and finish of the true speaker box is much more visually appealing once installed, and felt like a more stable attachment, especially when using the heavier PA style speakers. Plus a true box allowed more more space, i could not run my DM Powerflow forward facing air cleaner with the adapters, but I think that it might fit now because of the clearance gains of the true speaker box. I got Fairing Factory boxes off ebay for a reasonable price and they fit well and take most all of the popular speakers and attach tightly. They just need prep and paint, or leather like fabric covering if that is your taste. they don't look half bad out of the box, but if your bike is nice looking ride,, you will definitely want to do something for appearances sake.

I just installed a set of lowers with the speaker pod on my 2018 street glide and the fit/finish was good. It took me all of an hour to install them and had the speakers in, up and running all in 2 hrs.

These are what I bought.

Just an FYI. If you find you need to angle your lower fairing speakers more toward your listening position you can purchase these 1” spacers and belt sand the appropriate angle on them, which was my original intention. Instead I opted to purchase a component set of 6 1/2’s and just mounted the angle of the tweeter up and in.

That's a good price with the pods already attached.

Yea it is. I paid a bit more for them but I was worried about the fit and finish since they were so cheap. I found them easy to fit and install and couldn't be happier. I ended up putting a set of hertz sv 165's in them and those speakers complimented the fairing set up perfect.
