Default Soundstream TN2.600

Has anyone tried this amp? It`s rated 200 rms x 2 at 4ohms and 300 x 2 at 2ohms. I would like to wire four vo 6x9`s to it.

Yeah I`m not understanding that 4 and 5 channel stuff for a 2 channel amp but the 2ohm specs looks good for driving a pair of 6x9`s on each channel. Was looking at the cv b52 also but it has less power.

I’m not familiar with that soundstream amp but another option would be a Soundigital sd800.4D evo 2ohm. You could bridge/parallel 4 speakers and they would get 200w each if I’m understanding the specs correctly. Not sure if size is a issue for you or not. You would need xover control by head unit or dsp.

I am currently running one pn4.1000d. The front channels are powering four 8 ohm mmats and two b3 horns. The rear channels are powering four vo 6x9`s. My system sounds loud and clear but I want more power to 6x9`s so I figured the easiest way was to get a two channel amp and wire 2 ohm stereo. This will also allow me to wire set of mmats in parallel with horns so I can wire lowers on separate channels so I can dial them in better. Basically Soundstream amp for fronts and two channel amp for rears. The soundigital amp looks to be less power than the soundstream at 2 ohms. Any suggestions on a good two channel amp that can power 6x9`s?

You could use the SD250.2 or look at the GZ micros.

Power @ 12.6V @ 2Ω: 2 x 125 W RMS
Power @ 12.6V @ 4Ω: 2 x 85 W RMS
Bridge Power @ 12.6V @ 4Ω: 1 x 250 W RMS
Bridge Power @ 14.4V @ 4Ω: 1 x 300 W RMS

This goes back to the old saying that not all watts are created equal. While Soundstream has been around for a while along with their sister company Power acoustic. They are en-expensive power.
I would put that SD 100 watts @4ohm over the 140 watts @4ohms any day. Hell, the JL 75watts@ 4ohm would be better with the speakers you mentioned.
