Looking to add a set lower fairing speakers
I am considering on adding a set of Lower Fairing Speakers to my 2013 TG. Harley's Part & Accessories catalog states I need to purchase a Boom! Audio Speaker Expansion Kit; $569.95 to do this. The radio is stock Harmon Kardon with a HD's Boom! power ampifier. Is there a way to connect these speakers without the Expansion Kit? At this time, I am not considering changing out to a better aftermarket audio system since I am a fixed income.

When I decided to start adding amps on my 2010 (which I think has the same radio as yours) I sent my head unit to Iron Cross Audio and got them to add standard low level RCA outputs to it. Once that is done you can add about any amp that will fit.
If you did that you could get a small amp to run off of the RCA outputs to run the lower speakers. I think it is a little over $100 to have front and rear preamp outputs added. If you do decide to go that route I would definitely get both front and rear.
Others may have some ideas as well. I just know that setup worked well for me. I am running two amps and eight speakers off of the stock HK head unit. I like my AVC
