Default Anyone running a DSP with the new Sony double din?

I'm of the mind to eliminate the ARC PSM when I install the Sony.
Was wondering if anyone kept their DSP when the Sony is fairly flexible.

I kept mine. It depends on your setup I guess. I prefer to use the dsp to be able to bandpass most speakers.

Juice isn't running one and his sounds damn good.

I'm ditching the lids and 6x9s. Keeping the PRVs and B3s in the fairing and adding PRVs in the lowers.

My vote is to keep it. Too versatile to eliminate. Besides, its paid for and it doesn't eat.

I had installed a Mini DSP with my factory head unit before my J&M amp, but eliminated it with my Sony install. It was like a little magic black box!
The J&M has a built in DSP in the amp and although it does not have the option to adjust PEQ at the Line in level, I don't need it with the Sony since it's a flat input. I only had it to smooth out the EQ at the Factory HU output. The J&M DSP does the same PEQ adjustments before it is amplified ad the Mini DSP.

If you already own it, I would also say to use it.

I would try both ways. If you can achieve the sound you want without it, then there is a piece that doesn't need to be in line and can be sold. If you use it and can achieve a better sound to your liking by using it, then why not. You bought both the sony and dsp to achieve a better SQ to begin with.

Probably what I'll end up doing. Try the new setup minus the dsp and see what I get.
