Default Whatever it takes to fit big DSP on Road Glide Fairing

After being utterly disappointed by the sound of my audio when the engine is on, unable to find anybody having ARC PSM on stock, I decided to embark on a "whatever it takes" mission to fit Hertz H8 DSP inside the fairing of my 2015 Road Glide Special. I originally wanted to put Audison Bit Ten but after reading too many horror stories about the reliability of bit ten I decided to use Hertz H8, although they both share the same chassis and the same company I have yet to hear anything negative about H8.

I can see that there is actually plenty of space to put amp and normal sized DSP on RG fairing, it's just that the design of the metal tray is a bit awkward that access to these vacant spaces are somewhat limited. I started by grinding half of the outer most lip of the radio mounting plate to give more clearance to insert bigger equipment underneath the radio tray. I also grind about a quarter width of the metal tabs used to mount the headlight mounting tabs, also in order to give more clearance to fit my Mosconi D2 100.4 amp so it can get it deeper underneath the radio mounting tray. Dremel is my magic wand here.

Apparently, grinding the outer lip and the metal tabs was not enough to make my amp fit perfectly under the radio tray. As you can see on the pictures the amp is still protruding from the shaved outermost lip, the target is to have the edge of the amp perfectly flush with the shaved outermost lip of the radio tray.

I want to have that edge of the amp flush with the shaved radio tray so I can have extra clearance on top of the headlight to fit the Hertz H8 DSP while still retaining easy access to all the RCA and dials on both the amp and the DSP.

I need to have this part of the tray cut so the amp can go in further for extra clearance underneath

Not to steer you away from the route you're going but, I can have an Arc PSM tomorrow if that's really what you want.

Thanks for the offer but it's too late now. I already cut everything I needed to cut and I bought the H8 already.
