What is the preferred watts for an 8" Hertz sv200 inside the bags? Is 250w each adequate or do they need more?

Installed two SV200.1s in each bag of my buddies glide with 250w going to each. We used an Audio Dynamics MP500 (500x1 @ 2ohms) amp in each bag with the SV200.1s wired in parallel so each is receiving 250w. They are rated at 500w peak, so we were only using half the rated power, but they do sound good and hit hard. I am sure they can handle more, but for my one time experience, 250w worked well.
