Default ASWC-1/ Sony install

I have a 2003 Ultra Classic. Attempting to install a Sony radio with 99-9600 and ASWC-1. ASWC-1 will not identify the volume down and seek down buttons on the handlebars. I have grounded the pink/white wire. Still no progress. Any answers?

Not sure if it will help but fathead cycles has a very good video for wiring the exact same interface with a Sony head.
i followed it for a jvc head and it worked out perfectly. The jvc and Sony is slightly different with a couple wires but worked out great.

You do not need to ground the pink and white wire anymore. Put it back to stock configuration then reprogram.

Still doesn’t work. Any more ideas? Thinking about a Hawk Wired adapter. I have tried multiple ideas.

Have you tried to program it manually?

ASWC1 will not recognize the down buttons on handlebars even trying to program manually.

Did it ever work?
mine was easy install on my ‘10 and has worked flawlessly since.
where did u buy? If u trust the connections made then maybe the module has an issue.
i know Crutchfield is stand up if that’s where u bought.
id check the wiring, redo if necessary, reset module and update firmware .
and then replace module
