Kicker 41KSC674 Tour Pack Questions 2015 Ultra Low
Questions about the Kickers (tour pack) for any folks that have them in their Tour Packs:
It looks like the Harley grills will fit....did you use the Harley or Kicker grills? I don't like the "naked tweeter" look.
Also, I plan to take GLW Mike's advice and pre-spray the speaker fabric - do you have any pictures of the completed installation? I can't find any using the search function.

Initial Experience - haven't ridden with rears installed yet:
1. Set up is stock 6.5 Boom HU, 1 BT355 with RCA Y adapters to allow 4 ch operation without fade, PN4.1000d amp, Kappa 62Ix's in the Fairing, Kicker 44KSC6704's in the TP
2. Kappas mounted inside of speaker pod, tweeter buttons "out", Kickers mounted using HD Grills, no hole modifications
3. Tuned by ear with neutral bass and treble, 75% volume (3 volume bars remaining) - should fading be centered?
4. Front channels - HP filter, X-over slightly higher than first indication mark (not sure how to select a precise frequency), gain slightly less than half travel
5. Rear channels - Same HP filter and Xover, gain a tad more than half (is this due to higher impedance over the Kappas?)
6. Gains ramped up to first sign of distortion, then backed off from their highest, no distortion levels to prep for "engine on tuning"
7. Sound quality and volume are way higher than stock Boom - with the bike on "acc" and using the trickle charger - I really like the TP speakers - not sure if it's higher impedance, location, or what - they really add to the sound party. The Kappas sound really good too - the Kickers seem to have more bass than the Kappas.
8. Next steps: review pre-engine tuning and adjust settings based on you experts' input to my bold comments, then start it up and fine tune everything, button up the bike and get it out onto the highway.
