Speaker wire keeps breaking looking for ideas
I have a PN 4.1000 mounted in my fairing and for some reason my left rear speaker wire is breaking at the screw terminal. I have tried to rewire it giving it more slack thinking maybe when I turn the bars it was pulling on it, also tried using heavier gauge wiring but the breaks as well. It is always the left rear no other speakers. Have any of you run into this and how did you fix it? I am thinking about mounting the amp in my saddlebag but I really do not want to do this if I do not have to. What would you do?

I have the same amp in my fairing and have not had that issue. I used 14 gauge speaker wire and stripped a good 3/8" of wire then folded it back over the insulation then poked that into the hole before running the screw down on it. I faced the wire down so the screw went into the insulation. The insulation gave it something to sort of hold on to and kept the screw from biting into the wire.
As others mentioned I imagine wire ferrules would probably help I just haven't had to use them.

Are you using CCA or OFC wire?
One thing I forgot to mention f250 is the wire breakage like that implies some type of movement. It is usually flexing that breaks wires like that. Do you have them anchored to something close to where they go into the amp? There are lots of way of doing that. Some use wire loom but I like to use some clear plastic flexible hose like you can find at any hardware store. I run the wires through it and the tie it to something sturdy not too far from its destination. I think that may be called PVC or vinyl hose. It is soft and flexible.
I have actually used that stuff to protect the stainless steel brake lines on my Shovelhead at attachment points over 20 years ago and it is still in good shape. Back then they weren't coated like they are now.

That is a good question also. Aluminum is pretty brittle compared to copper.
