Default Bass from 6.5s

Ok so I'm shopping around for 6.5s to go into lower fairing pods and want to get the most clear "bass" and thought it was just a matter of comparing the Hz frequency rating, meaning the lower the frequency the more bass notes the speaker was rated for. But I'm looking around at other reviews and people are saying the noticed more bass from speakers with higher hz ratings than other speakers. For example one person said they had more bass from a Moto DP 6.5 (80-21K hz rating) ver a hertz MPX 165.3 (45-21.5K hz rating).
So is it not just about the hz rating but the speakers themselves as well?

You will find that most of the people on this forum dont talk BASS when they talk 6.5s. More like "punch" when considering where you are looking to put these 6.5s At anything over 45 mph, in that location, you lose any sort of bass a speaker might produce.

Most will push you to the bags for bass either an 8, 10 inch or a 6x9.

But for a fuller sound with volume people have been putting one of many in their lowers from Beyma, PRV, SP, Hertz SV, and AD for a complimenting sound to their fairing.

yes, punch is more of the term I should have used. Not looking for subwoofer type bass but something that has a punch that you can feel a bit instead of just a bunch of words screaming at you lol. I wont have any sort of saddlebags so these 6.5s will be the work horses of the "system"

Your best bet for mid bass punch is in the fairing since it’s right in front of you. Any punch from the lowers will be lost in the wind so they are best used as filler for highs and vocals.
Reviews for speakers are all over the place because there are so many variables that affect sound. Music source, power, amp and settings change everything. Freq range is only part of what dictates sound.
