Teedoff, I just bought a set of HogTunes lids from PartsGiant and am impressed with the design. I have some re configuring to do myself and purchased a set of those Rockfords from the kit from another member and they sound pretty good. The entire RF kit was not an option for me because my lids have the chrome rails on them. Also I like the drain channels of the HogTunes lids for when it rains.

If you find you would be better served with another amp I have considered this one from SoundStream:
PN2.350D

It can be had for less than $100 on Ebay and should be able to drive most 6x9s without any trouble. That way you could use the other two channels of your existing amp to power some lowers. Speakers in the lowers add a LOT of sound in front of your face where you can hear it best. A setup like that would be real easy to hear at speed.

Disclaimer: I have had a rough day and am drinking beer at the moment so everything I have said could be complete hogwash. Proceed with caution.

I got a set of advanblack paint matched lids for right at $350. Picked up a set of Arc Moto 692s to go in them. Havent mounted any of it yet. It will likely be a while before I do.

Yeah, I'm just not sure I'm crazy about how the cut out for the advanblack speakers are. They're just on top of the lids and dont cut out the front of the lid more.

Supposed to talk to a bike audio guy near me in the next couple weeks. Hopefully he can make some good suggestions. I'm in no hurry really.

They also have a spacer/adapter that places the speaker lower into the bag, which I'm not real crazy about either. Nowhere near watertight, so I'd have to carry covers, since I ride mine a lot. That's a couple of reasons that I'm considering not even using them. Although I did just pick up an amp to power them.

I’m a new member here and I’m in the process of upgrading my rear 6x9’s. I found a pair of Pioneer Pros in the classifieds that Travelingypsye was selling and asked to buy them. Well he gave them to me, just asked for $20 bucks to cover shipping, which that was the least I could do. Being new here he even offered to ship them on his dime and when I got them I could pay him then. Lets just say I was shocked, total stranger and this guy is giving me $150 dollar speakers WOW. With that said I would like to pass along the same generosity I was given, just cover the shipping. The speakers are Hog Tunes 6x9’s that you can buy with the lids as a kit and there is nothing wrong with them. They actually don’t sound that bad and have pretty good bass. They are 200 watt, 2 ohm speakers and would work good with your setup. I just bought my bike and the amp that was already in the bike is a Rockford PBR 300x4 so your amp would make these sound even better. My amp isn’t even 2 ohm stable but they don’t sound that bad. I just want something louder to go with the front PA setup I’m going to be upgrading to at some point. Let me know if you want them.
Big THANK YOU to Travelingypsye
Thanks,
Dana
For sure a good guy!!! Surprised us and showed up at my place in June. Took my 13 year old gear head son for a ride in his 750+ HP Corvette and I don't think my boy has stopped grinning or telling people about it yet!!!!!
