Default Connecting Aftermarket Speakers - 2015 Ultra Low

I just pulled out the last of my hair trying to find this in "search" ... How do you wire in aftermarket fairing speakers, without an amp install, and preserve the HD boom speaker connector in a stock Boom system? I'd be grateful if someone could point me to a thread that explains it.

Thanks for your quick response.
Not sure yet - but I'm open to non-HD 2ohm replacements if you smart guys can recommend any....I killed one of my fairing speakers this morning. SBates08 has been helping me plan overwinter 4 ch upgrade (no lids), so preferably something that will last another 3 months and sound better than stock. I don't have the cash to start the upgrade yet and I hate the idea of riding into October on 3 speakers. I have a friend with a "16 ultra that would be interested in them after the season, if they sound any good.

If ur working with SBates on s winter build I would strongly recommend seeking out a brother on here that will give u the HD Speaks they pulled out of their sled when they upgraded. I repeat, give u a replacement HD speaker if u cover shipping, which will get ur ship to shore till u r ready to head out to deep water with SBates assistance.

Save ur cash brother, and use a band aid for now.

Exactly what I'd do as well. Spend smart.

Once my partner in finance heard the speaker (and read both of your responses) she relented. Back to the two-part upgrades. I'll do the fronts and amp first and then do the rears next spring. There is NO way I'll be able to spring for lids, so I'm limiting the upgrades to the stock locations.

I've got 5 or 6 stock HD speakers on the shelf. 4 from my 14 Limited and 1 or 2 from a 16 SG. PM me shipping info and I'll send you one. As SBates and T said, save your coin till you're ready for an upgrade.

Default Thanks for your support fellas

I'm planning to do a 2ch to 4ch upgrade in the next couple weeks...4ch amp and bt355 to drive fairing speakers with 2 ch in reserve for next year, when I install a BT Breakout kit and rear speakers.

As it turns out there is a 115 anniversary party at my local dealer tomorrow AND a custom /retro motorcycle expo at a local museum... hopefully 2 chances to check out audio.
