Yes, you do loose some sound at speed, but with everything else I have still makes for clear tunes.

Sounds sick for only being one 6x9 in the bags! And a lot lighter than the 10" mid I'm going to put in the bags. But like everyone else... Whats the whole combo?! Wonder if the head unit is a factor...

This was th plan from the get-go, I got this bike used last year.
16FLHTCU 2,000 miles stock everything.
Small 4.3 screen and air cooled no wet-head.
The H/U is a couple hundred dollars more than a DSP. So I had all this in my mind during purchase.

Thanks for the info! Did you waterproof at all. I'm guessing a layer between the speaker and the bag? Any water issues? Sorry if I missed that somewhere

No,
VO are Marine grade.
Every time that 6x9 hits it blows everything out

That's a lot more ingredients than I have on my sled - DD - AW 6.5 in the fairing w/ Hertz mpk tweets, Hertz MPX 690 in the lids being feed by stock Head-unit & Focal Sport amp

Solid plans produce solid results. Based on your comment about the H/U I'm assuming you feel that particular H/U is giving you similar tuning capability as a stand alone DSP? My question is not a challenge, it's to learn.

I really appreciate guys that think outside the box and have the patience to see things through.

No, definitely does not have as many tuning variables. I did not want to deal with Harley's/BOOM EQ curve and the flash ordeal.
Just easier to make it sound good. Hell I am still running my fairing and horns in parallel.
I do have a DSR1 in my drawer waiting on winter for a complete re-wire and change things up for next years Meet and Greet.
