Default Amp & Speaker Advice for 16 SGS

I have a 16 SGS and last year I put a RF PBR 300x2 and a pair of Polk DB 6501 component speakers in the system. It was an improvement over stock but the distortion was bad at high volumes on certain songs. So I did some research and found out about the EQ curve. So last month I flashed the radio to remove the EQ curve and adjusted my frequency and gain and using the method from the sticky in this Forum and it is better (distortion is gone). Since researching in this Forum I see this AMP is not popular to say they least. I am very open to changing the AMP, so does anyone have an amp they recommend with these speakers. My buddy has a bike shop and has been installing NVX MVP amps. So would this be an upgrade from the RF and work well with these speakers?
I am not going to do speakers in the bags, ever... because I don't want to give up the space. I would consider lowers and speaker pods but not my first option either. I am not an audiophile, in fact my daughter says I am tone deaf. I use a old Iphone (via USB) with Apple Music 90% of the time for the source. My current setup is good to 75 mph but if I am flying do the interstate the wind noise starts to be an issue. And my GF sitting behind me says it is hard to hear at higher speeds. I am would rather swap the Polks out then add lower pods if need be to get more volume.
Also since these are component speakers is there anything else I should know about tuning the system using the recommended method in the sticky?
Thanks in Advance!

step up your amp, the RF TM400x4ad works well, and if you are not an audiophile and are trying to get volumes at speed you most likely want to look into the PA style speakers, PRV, Mmatts DD etc.

Thanks for the response. Do I need a 4 channel if I am not going to do lowers and pods or could I go with the TM400x2ad instead? I read the thread on the PA Speakers recently. Which model Brand/Model PA speakers are going to be best if I am going to stay in the fairing and will drop right into the speaker pods? I am assuming Mmatts based on what I read because of work getting PRV in the pods? I glanced at Mmatts site, it shows a setup with tweeters so I assume I am going to needs tweeters also if I go this route?

What about a J L Audio MX280/4 amp and some WDX 6 Moto speakers, line levelers and some biketronics brackets...

Why would I need line levelers if I already flashed the radio and flattened the EQ curve? What are the brackets for? Do these fit in the Speaker Pods? Why a 4 channel amp if only doing 2 speakers in the fairing? Thanks.

If you are never going to have more than 2 speakers then a tm400x2 or a CV b52 amp will be just fine but if there is a chance of adding lowers/lids in the future then get a good 4 channel amp now and just don't use the rear channels until up upgrade the setup.
