Looking for the Sony's and am having a hard time finding them $60 cheaper. They are the coaxial Sony XS-GS162...correct? Amazon, Sonic, Crutchfield...all $199. Where are you getting yours from?

Also...I assume they will fit in the fairing of my 2012 with the Metra adapters, but are not marine grade "weather resistant".

Sorry for all the questions but any thoughts or insight if I were to go with the Polk MM652's in all 4 holes...how would they sound up front in the fairing?

The price went up on these as everyone had them for $150. The polks will sound ok but I like the sonys better. You can find them on ebay still for $149. I personally don't trust the polks as I have had them blow in the past after 3mo. or so of riding but those were the 651's. After the melt down of a set of 692's in the lids, I question polks all together. Again, these are just my experiences as others have great success with them.

I gave a set of sonys to dsmlimited to try out. Ask him how they sound compaired to the wdx or polks.

OK thanks Gypsye! I'll have a look on eBay and maybe dsmlimited will come across this and chime in. Thanks again!

I was running the Sonys as well in fairing. I thought the sounded great for a $150 coaxial. I liked them.
I haven't had chance yet, but im gonna try them in tour pack, instead of the polks. I think they are gonna sound better but need to waterproof them.

The sonys could improve the mounting ring/frame but not a huge issue.

Keep in mind they arent water resistant.

I forgot that you ran them too. Keep us updated on the tp application of those.

Thanks Mike! Yah...was looking at the mounting in the pics and doesn't look quite as substantial as it could be.
I realize they're not waterproof but not as concerned in the fairing. TP mount would concern me more as it's more of a direct hit back there when caught out in the rain. Hence, I think I'll stay with the MM652's back there.

I installed a set AD Cx62's in a friends SG with a JL280/4 bridged, he hated them. I now installed a set of the XSGS sonys in it and he's liking them. I can't attest to the Sonys compared to Polk MM65's. I had a set to try but got rid of them before I tried them.
