If I remember correctly. I have them crossed at 85hz. I tried a little lower but they tended to get muddy.

I ordered the CPX 165 Pro's hoping that they are similar enough to the HCX 165 that they will fit the pods without modding it. Based on looks and specs it would seem that the CPX 165 is a replacement for the HCX 165. I will report back when they arrive.

Awesome, you beat me to the punch. I'll anxiously await your feedback on fit and sound

Did you order from ABT?

I bought mine from VMInnovations via Newegg Marketplace (had a Newegg giftcard to burn) but looks like it's the same price as ABT. It's definitely a gamble because there is no feedback on these yet that I could find. I will do my best to report back my findings but I am not an audiophile and my bike is still stock, so I am thinking just about anything will sound better than the current speakers. But I will let you know what I think either way.

The CPX 165 Pro's arrived today. I haven't looked at the HCX 165 in person but these seem very similar to them based on photos. They fit into the stock speaker pods with no modifications necessary except for cutting off the small locator tab on the pod itself, no big deal. Overall they appear to be of very nice quality but will know more when I finish the install and try them out. So far so good.

Finally got everything hooked up and tuned the amp. Overall very impressed with the speakers. They are super loud and sound great. I only have the stock speakers to compare to but I am definitely happy with the final results. I would say the CPX 165 Pro’s are well worth the money.
