Question 2017 tour pak speaker pod options

Hey guys I got a second set of hertz sz 165 for the rear speaker pods on my road glide ultra and ta-da they don’t fit. Is there an enlarged speaker pod option for my bike or what solutions have you guys come up with.

With the depth and size of the magnet on those speakers you will need a minimum of a half inch spacer to get those speakers to work in the rear pods

And still have to cut the plastic cause .5 in spacer doesn’t seem like enough and will I have to get rid of the passenger controls back there. What about the aftermarket eBay pods? Or the Harley ones.

I have not ran into a problem using half inch spacers and those speakers in the past.
Never had to remove the rear controls either.

I have a Rushmore tour pack with Hertz SV165 in the holes. I used the Vtwin audio adapters. They're functional as hell and look super clean instead of just adding spacers. They're a little over $100. Once you get them you'll notice the SV is just a little to wide for it. Take a rubber mallet and gently bend in the outside ring of the SV. It doesn't take much. Then they'll fit behind grilles on V Twin adapters.
