Don't get hung up on the ohm rating of the amp. The vast majority of amps are 2ohm stable and that's what you want. Concentrate your efforts toward 4ohm speakers because they're what will allow you to expand your system. A 4 speaker system can be upgraded to a 6 or 8 speaker system as long as you use 4 or 8ohm speakers and still use the same 4ch amp in most cases. Granted that's not always ideal but depending on the speakers chosen it's doable.
