Battery/Voltage Regulator Affect Audio?
My system:
ARC Audio 600.4 Amp
ARC Audio MOTO602 Speakers in Faring
Alpine SPR50 Speakers in Tourpak
Aquatic AV AQ-MP-5UBT-HS Head Unit
Had no issues until recently with the sustem.
Now, when switch is in ACCY position, stereo sounds great.
Once I ride speakers start to crackle and even cut out. Local CarTunes audio guy stated he thinks it may be the Voltage Regulator causing the Volts to spike and cause the issues.
I have read where a weak battery may be an issue as well. Battery is 5 years old. When I am not riding, battery is always on a tender. Voltage Gauge is always at 14 when I am riding. Never seen any fluctuation, except when I am stopped, I believe it reads 12.
Has anyone experimced any issues like this? Does this seem like the possible issue?

I’m anxious to hear what you find out...im having same issue with my 2015 Street Glide Special. Same scenario. Radio sounds fine till riding. Then cuts out and seems like interference. Was wondering about battery myself. I have noticed my voltage meter on dash starting to fluctuate up and down while riding....it’s always at 14-14.5, but sometimes spikes up to 15-16...is that regulator?

while it is possible that voltage could be an Issue, i'm more inclined to go with Tailwind on the idea that it
s a connection issue. when the bike is not running there is no vibration, when running the vibes could causing a vibe issue, check all your connections and fix anything you find there.

I replaced the battery, still same issues. Preventative maintenance is always good. I do not think it is the Voltage Regulator either.
I taped the RCA's together on install and I believe they are fine,
When I got home from a quick ride I left the bike running and the rear speakers worked, but not the front?
Chasing this issue is driving me nutz.......

I use one of these to check voltage out put. Leave it connected all the time.
