Default Question for the audio gurus

I'm currently in the middle of a complete audio overhaul on my 2015 Street Glide Special. I'm looking for some advice on the best way to wire my set up. Hi Level input vs. rca.

Sony AX5000 Head Unit
BT 4180.14
RF TM400X4AD in saddle bag
Hertz MPX 690.3 Pro in the bag lids
Hertz Legend 165.3 in fairing

Not even close to being a guru, BUT, you will get better, cleaner sound every time by using good quality RCA connectors.
Please correct me if I am wrong, professionals.

I get mine from here

Any advice is greatly appreciated. I know in the car audio world it's usually RCA with aftermarket HU but I'm not sure about motorcycles. That's why I'm here. Lol

That's a lot of power from those amps to only 4 speakers

So RCA is the way to go. Got it. Thanks for the feedback.

Now, next question. Down the road I’m looking at doing some speakers in the bags. That’s why I’m running the 2 amps. Thinking ahead. What do you guys recommend as far as that goes? 2 or 4 6x9’s or a subwoofer kit? I’ve read that you can’t hear the subs above 40 mph so it would almost be a waist unless I was sitting in a parking lot. How about the 6x9’s? Or some good 6.5’s?

First, I'm not any guru by any means and you are right. You wont be able to hear subs in the bags going down the road. As far as lid speakers a set of 6.5 wont give you any bass regardless of how good they are. One set of quality 6x9's in the lids will give you good bass at lower speeds and all the mids/highs you need going down the road. In my opinion, 2 sets of 6x9 in the lids is over kill as 1 set of quality 6x9's is plenty to rock your tunes.

I appreciate the the feedback. Not necessarily looking for the anything more in the lids but something on the I side of the bags facing the wheel........

Why? I’m ignorant on this idea, what is the point of having speaks that are below your listening level, behind you, and pointing away from your ears??? Seems like a waste of $$ unless you are sitting in a parking lot

I don’t get it
