You have more experience with both amps than myself. I have ran both amps and didn't see much of a difference in my bike.

Where do y'all like to purchase amps like the Arc and Focal from? It might be something I can work into a project for Jan or Feb.

I figure for starters I could try to move the Rockford into the fairing where maybe it would get a little air flow and see how it runs there. I have run my ADs in the lowers with 120 watts before and they did OK. I have heard it is kind to FM reception so that is another reason I was thinking about it. That would give me an excuse to try an Arc or Focal in the saddlebag to power the lids and pods.

A little side note on FM reception. I found that when I went from a 2 ohm load on the rear channel of the SS PN4.1000d to a 4 ohm FM reception got a tiny bit better. I guess dissipating 240 watts as opposed to 140 may have generated more RF interference.

FM reception was about the same for me with either amps, but I live out in the sticks. That and I don't have the rear antenna. I've tried a few under fairing antenna's with poor results also.

I buy my arc products at a local shop in town. He treats me pretty well. Why, I don't know. He likes talking to me about bike audio. He'll sometimes call for advice or info on products.

I guess that's one of the downsides of living in a rural area. There aren't any bike audio shops anywhere around here, and there are only two car audio shops within 75 miles. That's why I like this place so much. None of the knowledge presented here is available anywhere around these parts.
