Read up on the design of the BT amps, nothing else in the mobile audio market uses Hypex amp modules.

Give Mike at BT a call he is happy to explain it to you. He does not use 'off the shelf' power supplies like most every other manufacturer out there. His amps are extremely efficient and will work damn well with 12 ga. wire. Having said that I used 10 ga. just to be sure. I tried 2 Arc Moto's in place of 2 BT4180's and I swear the Arc's weren't close in volume or clarity as the 4180's and they would kill a battery in half the time. No measurements were taken so it's just how it seemed. I won't be using those Arc's in my current build after comparing them.
