Default 4 hertz hcx 165/Pn4.1000d settings help

Have 4 hcx 165 with ss pn4.1000d. My head unit is an pioneer mvh 501 bs. I have my amp set to flat for all four channels, with gains set at the 1 oclock for front and rear. Have my eq on the head unit set for vocal. The unit volume maxs out at 51, I dont go over 37 at my current settings.Any one with similar set up recomend any diffrent settings? Thanks.

If it sounds good to you with no distortion then your good to go. We all like listening to our tunes differently. Those hertz are just about bullet proof but distortion (especially bass) will cause them a short life. I have run my hp filter around 80 or so on those speakers just to keep that low bass from distortion. Remember the goal is to hear it at 70+. You will never hear low bass from those speakers (or any 6.5's) especially at any speed so minimize the threat of distortion and set your hp filter at 80-90. On that amp the hpf on and the x-over about 10 o'clock position. Just my opinion......
