As Gypsye alluded to, the devil is in the details regarding the specific "flash." Lots of shops are doing the so called "flash" thing but 90% of them don't know their **** from a hole in the ground regarding the Boom HU. They all swear their shix sounds awesome of course!!
If you know the exact "flash" they are using, I'm certain u will get some better feedback. Probably some more sled audio shop proprietary info though!!!! Lol!!

The BT355 is a very damn solid play here.

Ok thanks for the info. So hypothetically... if I already wasted money on a flash, how would I know after the install if the flash worked properly or not?

That's the point. You wont know until your stuff goes up in smoke. If it has too much voltage from bass that the HU puts out it will eventually burn the amp up. Again if your indy has done a bunch of aftermarket installs on boom systems, he may be able to flash you hu right. I for one would rather spend the $85 on a line leveler and be done with it.

Average Joe would not have a clue. As long as it sounds better than the Boom speakers Joe would think he got one hell of a sweet deal. Then when Joe rolls up on a proven flash, DSP, BT355, etc setup Joe would start to say WTF!!!!

Thanks guys. I'll be buying a line leveler. Not worth the risk.

So.... one last question before i open the boxes tomorrow. I decided on going with the RF speakers on the front (TMS65), but now im considering going with the polk mm1 series in the tour pak instead of the TMS65. Anyone have any experience with both of these speakers or have any input on which one i should go with? I paid 225 for the RF rear pod speakers. I can get the polk for 150. Thanks again guys.

My suggestion is if you already have the tms65's try them. if they don't meet your approval then try a set of polks. The tms will fit perfect in the pods so its easy peasy install. If you don't like them then switch them out.
