Default WDX6MOTO speakers and BLX44 amp

Whats up folks?

Looking into getting the WDX6MOTO speakers with the BLX44 AMP. After doing research, does anybody know if the amp will fit in the fairing of a 2016 street glide special? Also do you know if the stock headunit will need to be flashed?

Who knew a long time enthusiast of car audio, is a bit dumb founded when it comes to bike audio!

Let me know your thought!
Much appreciated!

Not yet. Was talking to the gentleman from Spork Customs and he turned me onto this speaker and AMP package.

Get the speakers and leave the amp. The Cerwin Vega B52 will be a much better choice. You won't need a HU flash but you will need a line leveler (BT355) from Biketronics

Sounds good. I will look into the Cerwin Vega. Have you owned or do you own the Moto speakers?
The speaker specs look killer IMO.
Thoughts?
I love big power, bass, and sound. Not a fan of tinnie ear piercing sound. I like to hear some thump!
I was debating between the Motor, ARCs, and TMS65's.

Also OP you need to be realistic about any bass and a 6.5 speaker. For "bass" on a bike it needs to come from within the bags.

My unprofessional opinion, I just installed the wdx6moto with b54 combo, fairing only system. It is loud but a little bright in that location. The component version may give better control over the tweeter. If your doing multiple speakers then the others can fill sound some and the high efficiency of the moto is a benefit. If your only doing fairing speakers then you can get plenty of power to drive any speakers you want so the options are endless. But that’s just my opinion.

Oh 100% agreed. 6.5 speakers are more for highs and mids at the end of the day. If i want true thumping bass, then i need to get some subwoofers installed in my bags.

Thats after all the house projects are finished. But a cerwin vega b52 will help in expanding to Lids, then a different amp for subs.

What do you mean by bright in that location?
I do plan on adding lower speakers this summer hence the need for a 4 channel amp

Thank you for your input.

by location I mean in the fairing right in front of you. You hear everything from those speakers.
If your planning multiple speakers you may want to start with a amp that you can grow with. I’m not sure the b54 will allow that.
