Default 2015 road glide need help adding rear speakers to bt 4180amp

Ok so here is what I think I am suppose to do. I took the stock 4 pin molex connected harness for rear speakers and I cut the connector off of one end and connected it straight into my 4180 amp. (Not sure yet best way to route such a large harness to the back. Too big to go down neck under the wire cover.) I the took my bt355 line leveler and connected my rca wires into my amp and then took the LL connector and plugged it into what I believe is the rear audio output. It’s a 4pin connector zip tied to a larger gray connector and then they attatch above headlight. Next I connect my cable from my amp into the hd splitter and and wire the splitter into my speakers (on my work bench). When I turn on the radio I just have an electrical hum coming through but no sound. Dealership said they flashed my bike for rear speakers but when I go into audio setting on my boom box 4.3 there is no option to adjust fade. I think I either have wires crossed? Or dealership flashed wrong? Thanks in advanced for help.

On the boom box, go to the screen with treble bass control. At the bottom there should be AVC/fade control. If there is no fade control option on that screen then your radio was not fashed for fade. That is wher the LL should be plugged in so that is right.

there is no avc fade so they did not flash it right. The flash should be rear speakers zero amps correct?

AVC / fade.control. Do you have avc control on that screen? Go to top right of the display screen with what ever audio you have playing and hit the audio. You should see treble and bass control. At the bottom there is avc control AND fade control if it was flashed for fade. If the avc is there and not the fade then your hu was not flashed for fade. Yes it should be flashed for an ultra 4 speakers, no amp(s).

If it will not fit inside the wire tunnel the run it along the side and zip tie it to the wire tunnel tight. just so it wont drop onto the engine.

You can still get sound to the rear speakers but wont have fade control until you get the head unit flashed using a rca splitter something like this:

Amazon Amazon

You just wont have any fade and the rear LL is not needed until you get the HU flashed.

Talked to mike a biketronics. What a cool guy they do tech support 7 days a week! He confirmed what we thought. The dealership did not flash the head unit properly for rear speakers

When you take it back to the dealer just make sure they flash it for 4 speakers and no amp. Check the head unit in the audio screen treble bass control. At the bottom of that screen is the avc control. The fade control should be there.
