Default Comments regarding Alpine SR-65 Speakers

I am planning on using Alpine SR65 speakers in lower fairing pods. The speakers will be amplified by a BT2180 amp. I'm just looking for comments or thoughts regarding these speakers.

In the upper fairing I'll be running BT Titan !! 6.5, 4 ohm. I don't think I mentioned I'll be connecting the Boom HU to the 2180 using a BT355 LL.
Thank You;
Bill

So if you are running titans off the 2180 then you are going to parallel the lowers.
Are these the speakers you are talking about:

I have not run lowers before but wanted to make sure that the speakers are all 4ohm as you are going to parallel them off a 2 channel amp. If it were me, I would get another set of titan 6.5 lowers. That way all 4 have the same sensitivity and the volume will be the same in all 4. If you already have those alpines, give them a try.

Lowers would do better with a slightly higher sensitivity due to the location of them and the distance they are from the rider. Just a thought

I agree since those alpines are only 88 db sensitivity. Not sure what the titans are but if they are 88-93 then a set of wdx motos at 103 would be perfect if they will fit.

Instead of paralleling fairing and lowers together you could parallel fairing speakers together on channel 1 and lowers on channel 2. That way your different specs won't fight each other when trying to parallel together. Use the balance on the HU to mix the two together.
