Default What HU are you all rockin?

Tons of threads on amps and speakers.....lol. Looking to replace stock 2001 FLHTCUI radio with something with Bluetooth. No need for CD or DVD features.

Which thumb control interfaces to avoid.

Has anyone had a "marine" radio that was actually "marine"? Seems most of the feedback I have seen says as soon as a little moisture comes into the picture things go south.

Trying to avoid the Aquatics line for the moment. With such a steep pricepoint for the unit it doesn't leave too much room for amp and speakers.

FWIW...... this is my first bagger, I'm a Shovelhead guy.

I just ordered this one for my bike. It doesn't have a parametric EQ, but I think it will be fine for my budget system.

A lot of others including myself are using the Sony MEX-M70BT. I've been in the rain with no issues. They're also a quite a few posts about how to tune the 10 band equalizer.

As far as the thumb control interface. I have a Scosche. Easy to wire up and works as it should without all the programming crap. But, mine has a loose connection in the main connector which I used a zip tie to press it in further. So my opinion on that is 50/50.

I and others on here are running the Kenwood 998, with the BT 1005 handle bar controls. The KW has a built in signal processor, the BT1005 has AVC built in, which I use! BT replaced on older one I had that was a few years old for free!

Nice unit, but I would want more than a 2 volt preamp output's...other Sony HU's have 5 volt preamp out's! I would say get at least 4 V preamp out!
