I highly recommend a ride to the High Ground. It’s a Veteran Memorial only 25 miles away.
The Highground
W7031 Ridge Rd, Neillsville, WI 54456
(715) 743-4224

If you follow HWY 10 East and go North on G, you’ll come to the HOG intersection.

Morning all, sitting out in the shop last night and thought I should advise on this. I live near Fort McCoy, military base. Very common to hear gun fire, bombing, see low flying helicopters and planes, and some cool stuff in the sky at night. Might be quiet, might be active, but when that first fighter jet passes at tree top level or you feel and here the first practice round, don't be alarmed.

All of Central Wisconsin has fighter jets flying around, even Sonic Booms. We have a Hardwood Bombing Range.
