Affordable Fairing Amp on a budget

That B52 is an interesting little amp. I noticed a weird socket on it labeled BTR port. Their website mentions connecting a Bluetooth receiver though this port but I don't understand the concept. I thought Bluetooth was handled inside the head unit itself. Are there special Bluetooth receivers that plug directly into amps now?

Well almost. If you turn down the gain on the amp all the way, it wont matter what the hu volume is, you wont hear it. Turn the volume 3/4 up. Start adding gain until distortion. Then back it off a tad. Make sure the hp filter is on and around 80 or so. That should get you close by ear and make those kappas sing. If you have a digital volt meter, there is a sticky thread on how to set up you amp based on watts and ohms of your speakers. Very helpful.

I believe the instructions sat they are for when installing the with a stock HK head unit. I basically disregarded the instructions for them as I was installing a sony head unit.

Yea. On that amp it is marked x over. Switch it to hp. Just to the right of it is the freq. ****. Turn it till you think it is about 80-90. Should be good to start taking your gain (sens) up till you hear distortion then back it off a bit.
