I'd stick with my VO 6x9's if it were me. Add some VO B3 horns and it doesn't get much better than that in the lids. Been down that 6.5 in the lid road. You need two 6.5 speakers in each lid to equal the volume of one 6x9. Too many speakers. Not enough power. You're better off throwing ALL your power to the two 6x9's vs. the four 6.5's. Took me a year to get it figured out after trying multiple set up's. Hope it doesn't take you that long Blue Tick LOL!!

Now if we're talking 8" speakers. That's a different story.
