Default Metra 82-9601 speaker screw size

Howdy all,

I am about to start putting in some components on my 2010 Ultra Classic and noticed that the WDX6Moto speakers did not come with any screws. I didn't mind because I bought a bunch of stainless screws anyhow, but I wanted to make sure I used the right size.

Does anyone remember the size of the screws they used to secure the speaker to the Metra adapter? It looks like #8 screws fit, but they seemed to go in fairly easy. I have some #10 screws, but I don't want to risk wallowing out the holes in the adapters unnecessarily.

I know it seems trivial, but I figured I'd ask before cranking away.

If I remember right, I used 10's in mine with a star washer just because I'm kinda **** and there is a lot of vibration going on while riding.

Thanks for the info. I already have some stainless 10 x 1 inch screws but I'll swing by the hardware store during lunch and pick up some shorter 10 inchers if they have them and some star washers as well.
